Torah Study in Kealakekua

November 11 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

The second Saturday Torah study resumes this month at the home of Aviva and Yehudah Plaut in Kealakekua with reading and discussion of  Chaye Sarah (Genesis 23:1 – 25:18), concluding the stories of Abraham and Sarah. The parashah begins with Sarah’s death and burial in the Cave of Machpelah, includes the successful search for a bride to marry their son Isaac and continues with the death and burial of Abraham.

The study is group-led and no knowledge of Hebrew or previous study is necessary. Please bring your own tanach or print out a copy of the week’’s parashah from one of the many versions available online. No one version is preferred and a variety adds to interesting discussion.

A potluck lunch follows the session so bring a dish to share (NO pork or shellfish, please).

All are welcome to attend. Please RSVP to aviva.p@gmail.com
