We are excited to invite you all to our first Kabbalat Shabbat gathering and potluck this Friday, July 14th, at 6pm, at the No 3 restaurant at the Mauna Kea Beach Resort.  This is a joint event of Kona Beth Shalom and the North Hawaii Chavurah and will be held on the 2nd Friday of each month.  Rabbi Natan Segal will be leading some prayers and song in celebration of shabbat.  After a long career in the SF Bay Area, Rabbi Segal retired to the Big Island and we have managed to coax him off his farm for the evening.
Potluck Guidelines: Vegetables and fruit, main and side dishes appreciated. No pork or shellfish. We always have many more desserts than can be consumed. Our intention is to uplift the spirit, mind, as well as the body. We will not have access to a kitchen so please bring your food stored at the appropriate temperature.
When entering the Mauna Beach Resort, please tell security that you are attending the event at the No 3 restaurant. They will direct you to the parking adjacent to the restaurant.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Save the date, July 29th, for our next Shabbat Morning gathering in Kona.
