The High Holidays are approaching  and we hope you will join us.  Please read the newsletter to learn about KBS and see the high holiday schedule. Membership information is also included. You may pay up to $249 (at a time) through the Give Aloha program at Foodland during the month of September.  Please send our treasurer, Mike Bernstone, copies of your receipts along with your membership form and any remaining payment.
We are excited to invite you to our third Kabbalat Shabbat gathering and potluck this Friday, Sept 8th, at 6pm, at the No 3 restaurant at the Mauna Kea Beach Resort and extend a special invitation to families. This joint event of Kona Beth Shalom and the North Hawaii Chavurah features the very musical Rabbi Natan Segal leading brief prayers and a post meal kumsitz in celebration of shabbat.
Potluck Guidelines: Vegetables and fruit, main and side dishes appreciated. NO pork or shellfish. We always have many more desserts than can be consumed. Our intention is to uplift the spirit, mind, as well as the body. We will not have access to a kitchen so please bring your food stored at the appropriate temperature.
Upon entering the Mauna Beach Resort, tell security that you are attending the event at the No 3 restaurant. They will direct you to the parking adjacent to the restaurant.
Shana tova to you and yours. We look forward to you joining our KBS ohana.
