Rabbi Daniel Lev travels from Oahu for a full weekend of Kona Beth Shalom activities to observe Shabbat and Shavuot June 10, 11 & 12. His topics for study and discussion during the weekend include “The Next Five-Out-of-Ten-Commandments” and “Pirkei Avot – Life Wisdom from the Early Masters.”

The celebration begins on Friday June 10 with a potluck Kabbalat Shabbat at the home of Louise & Marvin Feldman in Captain Cook.  If you plan to attend please email Louise lfeldman@hawaii.rr.com for directions and information.

Saturday June 11 Rabbi Lev leads Shabbat services at the KBS home in the shops at Mauna Lani beginning at 10:30AM. Join us for a potluck oneg and kiddush afterward followed by a lively Torah study.

To mark Shavuot on Sunday June 12 Rabbi Lev conducts a Torah study session at the home of Aviva and Yehuda Plaut in Kealakekua with, of course, a break for potluck lunch.  The Rabbi will also lead a Yizkor service.

All are invited to take part, but for the events of Sunday June 12 we request an $18 individual or $30 couple donation from those who are not members of the KBS congregation to help defray costs.

As always, please, no pork or shellfish dishes for the potluck meals.
