Shabbat services this month will be a family-oriented joint celebration with the North Hawaii Chavurah led by Kona Beth Shalom interim president Vivienne Aronowitz and musical accompaniment from Rabbi Natan Segal. Aviva Plaut and Vic Greenspan will read from the Torah. The parashah is Eikev (Deuteronomy 10:12-11:25) in which Moses continues his farewell address to the Israelites, assuring them that if they faithfully observe the commandments they will deserve the Promised Land “…from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River Euphrates to the Western Sea.”
Following services all are invited for Kiddish and a pot-luck Oneg (NO pork or shellfish, please). Visitors are always welcome.
