Aloha …Shalom …L’shana Tova

KBS High Holiday activities continue this Friday, September 14, 5PM with a Tashlich ceremony,  Kabbalat Shabbat service and then potluck* supper on the beach at Kona’s “Old A” park, pavilion #3. Rabbi Daniel Lev joins us again to lead the observance and will start with a special service for children at 4PM – so bring the youngsters! And bring beach chairs.

Saturday morning, September 15, at 10:30AM we gather in Kealakekua for a haymish Shabbat Shuva service. Rabbi Daniel leads the prayers, Aviva Plaut and Vic Greenspan read torah and then share a potluck* lunch – all at the home of Aviva and Yehuda Plaut. Call 322-9860 for directions.

Yom Kippur begins at sundown Tuesday September 18 with a solemn Kol Nidre service at Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden on Henry Street in Kona. On Wednesday September 19 return for a full day of Yom Kippur prayer, introspection, inspiration and discussion starting at 10AM and concluding with a break-the-fast after Havdalah at 6:30PM.
