September Torah Study on Third Saturday
September 17, 2016 @ 10:30 am
The Torah Study usually held on the second Saturday of the month will be on the Third Saturday in September (9/17) at the home of Louise and Marvin Feldman in Captain Cook. The week’s parashah is Ki Teitzei (Deuteronomy 21:10–25:19), detailing dozens of commandments on subjects from inheritance rights to burial rituals, adultery and seduction to fair treatment and pay for workers.
Study begins at 10:30AM, ends around noon and is followed by a potluck lunch (no pork or shellfish, please!).
The study is group-led and no knowledge of Hebrew or previous study is necessary. Please bring your own tanach or print out a copy of the weeks parashah from one of the many versions available online. No one version is preferred and a variety adds to interesting discussion.
We look forward to seeing you at Saturday Torah Study to deepen understanding of our Book and its relevance to our Judaism.
