Shabbat Eikev Service – New Location in Kealakekua
August 24 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
KBS invites you to our monthly Shabbat service Saturday, August 24, led, in person, by Rabbi Shari Joy Berman with Aviva Plaut and Vic Greenspan joining in to read from Parashah Eikev – עֵקֶב (D’varim/Deuteronomy 7:12–11:25) – in which Moses recounts events of the 40 years in the wilderness and tells the Israelites to follow God’s laws. Eikev also includes the v’ahavta passage we repeat at every service along with the Shema.
Afterward, stay for a “Kiddush and Kibbitz” potluck. If you can, bring a dish to share (but no meat or shellfish, please).
This will be our first Shabbat at a new location: the New Thought Center of Hawai`i, in Kealakekua.
If you are not feeling well, or are otherwise unable to attend in-person, the service will be live-streamed via Zoom and the KBS Facebook page. Connection information will be provided by email. If you are not already receiving KBS emails, sign up at this link.
