It enumerates the biblical holidays of Passover\, Shavuot\, Rosh Hashanah\, Yom Kippur\, and Sukkot\, and includes the “omer offering” – the instruction to “bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.” The parashah ends with a story about a blasphemer and his punishment. \nWe’ll read and discuss parashah Emor. No prior knowledge is necessary and we welcome a wide range of viewpoints.
