Expert sofer Rabbi Moshe Druin visited Kona Beth Shalom on February 5, 2019 to spend the day examining, repairing and refreshing our beloved Torah. Many KBS members and visitors came by to watch him at work and talk story about the almost 300 year old scroll, a Holocaust survivor from Polna in the former Czechoslovakia that found its way to our congregation on Hawaii Island.
	Rabbi Druin also gave a class called “Holy Rollers” to teach how to keep our Torah scroll vibrant and alive. We are happy to bring you a video recording of that class:
