Torah Study – Shemot

January 10 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Burning Bush by Mayim Eliana Ebert

Shemot  שְׁמוֹת (“names”) is the first Torah portion in the Book of Exodus. It describes the bitter enslavement of the Israelites in Egypt; a royal decree that all Hebrew boy babies be killed; how the newborn Moses is rescued in a basket on the Nile, and adopted into Pharaoh’s household. He later encounters God at the burning bush and begins his mission of demanding that Pharaoh let the Israelites go.

Join in on Zoom this Saturday to read and discuss Shemot, Exodus 1:1-6:1, in the KBS Torah study led by Aviva and Yehudah Plaut, No prior knowledge is necessary and a variety of views is welcome.

Email info@konabethshalom.org for Zoom connection details. The study will also be live-streamed on the KBS YouTube Channel and KBS Facebook Page
